Track Out (10-14) Cartoon Sketching Projects and Portrait Gallery
We started warming up with assorted manga-style chibi characters.
Pencils were used for initial sketching, and we had several coloring options on the table: design markers, pigmented India ink pens, and some watercolor kits.
Students had the opportunity to try a variety of sketching tools ranging from the ever popular electric eraser to sets of Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pens.
As part of my drawing demonstrations, students often get a souvenir cartoon portrait customized to their specifications.
This time around, everyone seemed to want to be a "snow ninja". "Frozen" sure has a lasting effect on kids these days.
